Hope In Strangers
Paul Oneto
It's not fair to me, you know,
To shoulder all your faith and hope.
And I know you might be alone,
But you don't know how bad I'm broke.
Are you really so naive,
To pin your hope to a stranger's sleeve?
Cuz if there's one thing I still believe:
Everyone you meet will leave.
You tell me I'm your only hope,
But I'm not asking for that rope.
Instead go hang your prayers on high,
So you don't have to watch them die.
