Des Alten Kriegers Seelenruh' (translation)
[the old warrior's peace of mind]
Where the fires dancing paint,
In the clouds up there endless wide.
Where the moon of the night cold glows,
The mountain casts shadows in winter's gown.
Where demons in a coat of snow hunt,
Effusions of lust my soul refresh.
My body is carried by elves,
In icey horizons it let's me gaze.
Icey mountains sleep in my view,
On the verge of deep forests i stand.
The frosty singing of the naked wind,
Is everything i ever heard.
And beneath towers once besieged,
I now lie and gaze into the valley.
And creatures of ice beholding,
I wait for the sun to fall.
In the mountains children sleep,
That do not permit to be found.
And restless seeks the blind finder,
His childhood long deprived.
The grey hand mellows the snow,
His eye seeks so deeply touched,
He is as the sun red passes away,
To fall asleep for the children.
They cried, when my sword
Slay their fetuses, cried over
The hate that i wore in my eyes.
A storm rises...
