Uncle Jim's Deathbed

Bryden Summers

Man, my Uncle Jim he had it coming
Never could take care of himself
Mother gave up long ago
Never should've tried anyhow

No one knows my Uncle Jim
Not the way that I really do
I've seen him do some crazy things
I've been there with him and I've done them too

When I got the call that day
About Jim's declining health
I was scared, yeah, I could say
I was worried but for myself

No one knows my Uncle Jim
I think I'm the only one
He never made that many friends
I always though he was kind of fun

On my Uncle's deathbed
There'll be no one left half alive
They say he's got a week to live
While we've got a week to survive

Man, my Uncle Jim he had it coming
Never could take care of himself
Mother gave up long ago
Never should've tried anyhow

Always knew would come to this
It's just me and my Uncle Jim
Almost funny if you think of it
'Cause guys likes we hardly ever win
