Silk Trains
Silk trains in the night
I hear they travel at the speed of light
There under the staring stars
Their wonder gaze on thundering cars
Clouds of cinders, smoke, and steam
Tell me, what it means
Full on, no turning back
Tuscan-Red down the railway track
Come along and you will see
We've got to find our way
Through it all, going through it thick and thin
We're going on to the end
Legend has it as legends are told
Silk thread worth its weight in gold
Such excitement you can't conceal
They work so hard for that liquid feel
On the mulberry branch they feast
As the train gains at terrific speed
Down the trans-continental line
Silkworms swing their heads in time
Come along and you will see
We've got to find our way
Through it all, going through it thick and thin
We're going on to the end
Imagine its quite a scene
As they push past and gnash their teeth
White knuckles squeeze, their fingers clutch
The train couldn't come fast enough
Parasitical marketplace
It wears such an ugly face
When the train came around the bend
It tore a hole that will never mend
Silk trains in the night
I hear they travel at the speed of light
Come along and you will see
Let madness lead the way
Through it all, going through it thick and thin
We're going on to the end
