The Meadow
The snow doesn't settle in the ground
And you keep bringing me down
But i'll still stick around
Im tied, im stuck, and im bound
The rain won't gather in a puddle
you and your friends called me trouble
i would dwell in the unknown
hear you whine, complain and moan
The flowers won't sleep right tonight
they can hear us having a fight
if we're lucky, we'll get a day right
But our fire's not looking too bright
There's a place that i'd go everyday
just to think about the ways
and i'd look fate straight in the face
i'd say hey, i think you came here too late
Sometimes i like watching you cry
Least i know you're a human being inside
Sometimes cats and dogs reconcile
once in awhile you even smile
