In the Beginning
In the beginning
When the heaven and earth are one
To be or not to be
What have we done?
In the beginning when earth was but a wasteland
And the darkness covered all the eyes could see
In the beginning before the dark bowed to the light
And the mighty winds had swept across the sea
And the light cracked through the sky
And the birds began to fly
And the new formed earth
Was seen through man's eyes
Then we heard the gods say to one mighty man
You shall take two of every one
For forty days and forty nights it rained upon the earth
And man and beast alike prayed for the sun
And the light cracked through the sky
And again the birds did fly
And the new formed earth
Was seen through man's eyes
What did he see, tell me
What did the blind man see, tell me
What was he meant to be?
What was he meant to be?
Tell me please, what did the blind man see?
What was he meant to be?
Now those days have been and gone and man has man alone
Will he survive or turn the earth to stone
Is it the earthquake or the bomb that seals our final fate
We can't stop volcanos fire but we can stop the hate
And the light cracked through the sky
And again the birds did fly
And the new formed earth
Was seen through man's eyes
Man's eyes
