Mixed Feelings
Mixed feelings
You are the between thing
The afterthought of when their speaking
Always competing, but never completing; on your quest for completion
Mixed feelings
In your Racial dealings
Where you struggle to find your place and meaning
Cuh you can't be one without the other, but the other makes the one suffer
Mixed Feelings
Your identity always takes a beating
Your trauma is seen as Racial healing
You spent your life, neither side, but traumatised, seen black but also white
Mixed Feelings
Your struggle deepening
As your voice is weakening
Your silence, almost violent but tired of the racial tyrants and their dividers
Mixed feelings
Cuh inbetween you are meant to live
Yet society has forced you to pick
You are a person of colour, you are seen as one and not the other
But still you Are not a sister or a brother
Mixed Feelings
Of a Mixed Being
Never heard but always seen
