There Is a Hope

Do you see the people in the streets
Begging for a piece of bread
They have no place they can call their own
No place to rest to lay their heads

Do you hear the voice of children
Crying for a mother's love
They are left to face the world all by themselves
But they're not alone, and they need to know

There is a hope, no matter what happens
There is a hope that overcomes all
We can stand on the promise Jesus never fails
Even if the world should fall
There is a hope through all of life's changes
There is a God who's always the same
Hope does not depend on only what is seen
Hope is found believing in His name

There is a hope

There is a hope in Jesus
There is a hope

So when you see the world around you
Crying out in lost despair
Realize that Jesus is the greatest gift
We must care and we must share

If we believe who Jesus really is
Then why don't we draw men to Him
We're satisfied having Him all to ourselves
Forgetting that we can show
