Going Home to Mary
I have traveled east and I have traveled west
And they say a man with wandering feet can never know much rest
But I'm gonna prove them wrong, for I'm going home today
I'm going home to Mary, I'm going home to stay
For I miss her in the morning, when the lark is in the sky
And I miss her in the noon time, when the world goes rushing by
But most of all I miss her, when the evening time is nigh
But, I'm going, yes I'm going home to Mary
Mary said she'd wait 'til my wandering was o'er
She knew that I'd comе running back to be with her once morе
I just don't know the reason why I ever went away
I'm going home to Mary, I'm going home to stay
For I miss her in the morning, when the lark is in the sky
And I miss her in the noon time, when the world goes rushing by
But most of all I miss her, when the evening time is nigh
But, I'm going, yes I'm going home to Mary
Every mile I've gone, she seemed to call to me
To come back home and stay with her, wherever I might be
I just made up my mind, I won't wait another day
I'm going home to Mary, I'm going home to stay
For I miss her in the morning, when the lark is in the sky
And I miss her in the noon time, when the world goes rushing by
But most of all I miss her, when the evening time is nigh
But, I'm going, yes I'm going home to Mary
