Disco Kid
Flash A News Bulletin from Washington DC
Where our news correspondence Ed Morow reports
Tonight Sid Cycane has one more stud to add to his leather jacket
Tonight a rock band came to town they really laid that music down
And everyone listen to modern kid
A lot of country and a little soul and everyone dug that Rock N Roll
Everybody that is except that disco kid
The Party danced like a giant long day you know what I mean in that Special way
And every one laughed at what he did
He danced like John Travolta and Fred Astair, Ginger Rodgers and Lionel Blair
Never before had they seen such a mixed up kid
Then one night the showdown came Between the Disco Kid and Sid Cycane who was an old time rock n roller from the Bronx
The poor kid danced like a man insane in his open neck shirt and gold medallion
No matter how he tried he couldn't beat that honky tonk
You know my name is Sid Cycane I was born and raised in a hurricane and the first thing mother taught me was how to dance and if your asking what these studs are for on my leather jacket there are ten or more they are in memory of the guys that thought they stood a chance
