Rusty Wheels

I took it down
These rusty wheels to my hometown
My bucket seats
They've never felt so incomplete
And it's eyelids and aeroplanes for the next few hours
Neat whiskey and telephone
And these trees that line the road are like the walls of a fortress
And the pavement like a river running wild
My eyes paint scenes like tiny film projectors
In a dark room like a spotlight on a thief
And I'm alright
It's like blind heat
Or a swift shuffle through the city streets
It's bright and cold
Like a a machine without control
And it's dog fights with diplomats for the next few hours
Keith richards in my headphones
And these trees that line the road are like the walls of a fortress
And the pavement like a river running wild
My eyes paint scenes like tiny film projectors
In a dark room like a flashlight in the fog
And I'm alright
And these trees that line the road are like the walls of a fortress
And the pavement like a river running wild
My eyes paint scenes like tiny film projectors
In a dark room like a light house on the rocks
And I'm alright
