In my room alone with my guitar
I was learning how to play my part

from here to the ever after
I know there's always someone faster
I may not be the chosen one,
But my spirit will never die
As I streak across this stormy sky
From the dark side of the sun

I was no stranger to the shadows
Never one to stand out in a crowd
Till I found a voice inside, that led me on this journey
To stand and sing before you here and now
This long run through the darkness, to where I am has been so long
But standing here in the light is where, I know that I belong
