In spite of herself she continued the story
She continued the wanting, the needing, never quite receiving
Inside of her shell she kept her emotion
She could only imagine the feelings but never quite reach them
And she lies as she leads you away
And she smiles as she fades away

Despite all her burns she went straight to the fire
And the flame took the skin from the bone
And the bone from the heart and the soul
If I could find a way to relieve all the hurting
