At first, there was no one to meddle
Just the wind to help us settle
We were drinking from the heavens
Digging down into the earth

We were thriving undisturbed

Then there arose those intent on moving
And like a miracle, they kept improving
Then change begat the tail
Begat the fin begat the fist

Strength enough to subsist

Something changed in them
When they heard: I am

Was now illusory

So still we have to be

Taking much more than they need

Envy, the perfect seed
