I believed in her, and she believed in me
I spent all my time believing, when I should’ve spent it reading
The signs
Like the one above her head
Lit up neon red, saying:
‘Your heart is mine to break
And you are making a mistake
You should enjoy my body
Enjoy my mind
I will take them away from you in my own time’

Now it doesn’t make me happy to think about her future
All grey and without love
Although I think about it often enough
And I’m sure she’s found a person to give her some attention
