Of how I'd been pleading with the Father to take me to see His glory
After leaning to the right, I laid back straight
And I looked at what the time said, it was half past eight
I closed my eyes
Soon enough, the time was nigh to do my roll call
My friends came in to wake me up to go, so my attendance wouldn’t fall
But I was mad, like “why am I still here?”
I wouldn’t open up my eyes, I wept and shed a lotta tears
All of a sudden, it felt like I was floating
Was on this clouded path where all of the sidewalks were golden
Still tryna wrap my head around all of this beauty,
When before my very eyes, I saw His hands stretched out from afar calling me and He said “come.”
And I knew that it was Him!
I ran with all my might towards the place that He was in
But as soon as I got close, He walked away
And I said Lord, I’m already here I seriously, really, truly wanna stay!
But He said “no, your time is not yet come.
