Lonely Lane
Life is like a fast train
That anyhow is not in time
By trying to catch it
Your lifetime is ticking by
You watch some lovely flowers
Beside the lonely lane
Stretching out for heaven
Under pouring rain
And I ask myself
Is life really that hard
Or is it just me who don't get along with it
I ask myself some questions
And these questions are so wrong
But life's answers to them are confusing me a bit
Is life really that hard
Or is it just me who don't get along with it
Long way down this lonely lane
Finally you manage it
To jump right on this train
But suddenly you realize
You grew old 'n' almost insane
You enjoy the last few kilometers
Down life's endless track
But now you know that 'endless'
Means ending up in death
And I ask myself
Is life really that hard
Or is it just me who don't get along with it
I ask myself some questions
And these questions are so wrong
But life's answers to them are confusing me a bit
Is life really that hard
Or is it just me who don't get along with it
Long way down this lonely lane
Long way down this lonely lane
Long way down this lonely lane
Long way down this lonely lane
