Mission Complete
If I was broken like your car
Would you still need me
Or would you just walk
And if I was out there in the stars
Would you believe me
Or would you just talk to your friends
About the lonely astronaut that never made it back to earth
To kiss his lovely wife and kids goodnight again
Well my friends
Mission complete
I’m obsolete
Like the space in front of me
And I can’t tell
What I could want more
Than the sight of my front door
But I can’t ignore
The lonely astronaut that swore he saw the face of god before Apollo 1 was swallowed in its fuеl
And I’m just a fool
But I was afraid
The air lock would brake
And I would miss evеryone as I suffocate..
And I can’t
Catch my breath
So I’ll use the rest of the oxygen to say
I’m just a lonely astronaut that left the world behind and fought to find a tiny little reason to believe
That now I could see
Mission complete
I’m obsolete
Like the space in front of me
And I can’t tell
What I could want more
Than the sight of my front door
