The fauna surrounds me like a retinue
They ask me if I'd like fresh tea, or maybe to chew bamboo leaves?
I politely decline as the mushroom queen arrives and begins her speech
It last for hours, her lips smacking like a thunderstorm as I drift into a daze
Her ill-acquired lipstick now smeared as she glances deep into me
What will she speak? What will the pessimist say?
The forest trees sway and then decay as she shouts "Give mе his head!"
And her mushroom minions come at mе
I wake up in a sweat, on the verge of asphyxiation
The forest surrounds me and the mushrooms beside me still remain within a lifeless state
