Thoughts of him rain like velvet drops over my skin
Singing delicately over all my planes
Rinsing the stains of the pains I’ve ever suffered off of me
Thoughts of him carry me in a wave of comfort
Where I can lay myself open fearlessly to him
And let him see me
Touch me
Cuddle me
And I feel blessed to share the air around him
I feel safe in his arms that say nothing can ever harm me
‘Cos when he holds me, I feel all the broken pieces of me shift
And meld perfectly back into place
‘Cos I have the grace of his warmth all around me
I can’t help but touch him reverently
And pray that I get to stay with him
To keep a part of him with me
But ‘till then
I will frame all the gifts he has given me of moments
Caresses that have rendered me formless
Kisses that have crumbled my walls
Laughter that has woken my heart
And smiles that have made my knees weak
I’ll treasure all of those blessings in the vault of my mind
Where all my most precious treasures are kept
And smile alone like a lunatic
Thinking of all the crazy, funny, sweet, beautiful, unique things he is
He is my favourite place
And he can invade my space anytime
He just has to remember that I’m shy
And I’m working on being forward
