No Means No, Pt. 1
Sitting in the traffic as the horns they start to sound
Wondering if the lights are red or if someone's broken down
Will it be the final warning or will it be my fate
Wondering if I can feed the kids
Because I'm sacked for being late
Shuffling to the point of issue
As the bankers police start to bail
Wrestling with the white van man
As his punches becomes his jail
Orange banners and sitting proud
The luvvies are glued to the floor
Never understanding it is they
Who really plague the poor
Governments are devoid
That the planet is on the edge
Minister minister wake up fool
Stop sitting on the hedge
The luvvies go home to a house
That's left them in a will
Will never see a food bank
Yet help the bankers till
Run to get your Glasto ticket
Cos it helps us save the world
Yet you're part of the very enemy
Who laughs the flag unfurled
Go to bomb the far off lands
At the commands of a tory red
Try to find a weapon
Is it here or under his bed
Brave are the men and women
Who serve our country proud
Nailed to the court of opinion
Because they scare the crowd
Betrayed in the halls of power
For the dead they left behind
Left a country that destroys its own
And makes its children blind
We open our doors to many
Yet they have no homes to live
The very drones who stand and shout
But have very little to give
We stand as a people
Who are varied and sometimes morally stained
Not knowing what is right
And who is really to blame
Minister minister it's you who becomes
The real plague
Like the death rattle of Mother Nature
Why do you look so vague
It's now we reach the end
Of this sorry earth
That mere mortals of this sceptred isle
Should question another birth
Visions of a future
That will see an earth that glows
Minister minister it's time to go
When the people say no means no
