Lonely Sea
Now I see the sun
It burns my eyes
Look into my soul
It's empty, it's cold
I gaze into your face
My tongue is paralyzed
The touch and the embrace
But meaning is denied
If I have to go, can I find a place to stay?
Paranoid and helpless, I have to look away
When this is said and done, will my strength begin to fade?
When the fight is over, will my mind remain decayed?
And though the sun is beating down
There's ice still on the ground
Don't leave me here as helplessness surrounds
I lay here and I wait and I watch you fade away
Don't let me fall into the everlasting gray
You are all I can see
I'm as hopeless as can be as fear reveals herself to me
I could die
I'll take whatever's meant to be
It doesn't make a difference to me
As I escape this lonely sea
