Mirror in Darkness

Radiance divine
Or twilight of the mind
Erupted from the temples
And left a nebula
Between the eyes

When a mirror's upheld
In darkness

And so that membrane collapsed
As flesh became current
Conduit
And conductor

A god descends
Upon a body
In calamity

And even the fingertips
Pour forth
Electricity

When a mirror’s upheld
In darkness
Reflecting nothing
Back at nothing
Is it radiance divine
Or twilight of the mind?
