Fear of the Dark

My watch is running slow, the sky is growing dark
Someone looking at me, do you think he knows?
Waiting for some transport but decide to walk instead
Is that sound of someone following? I quicken up my pace

Throughout these dark and empty streets, I wait for him to make his move
When I reach the safety of my home, I look back, shrug and smile
No one watching, no one following, no one in the rain
I wish I didn't worry so, I can't explain this fear

Funny how the darkness makes the situation grow
Pulse begins to quicken, sweat begins to slow
