See these fascinating creatures in a flock
Determined to show off all their features to the block
While the animals conduct visual cues depending a swoon
All in effort to get to the womb
They gather in massive leks
Cash in those massive checks
In action for smashing, yes
Emphatic to that effect
Akin to peafowl slipping on sick shoes
To be a six plume bird-of-paradise to repair a night
Covert feathers crafted from caterpillar silk
Dabbled in the milk of God and Mary in coalition
Galliformes pledge to earth cross fingers
And we all cluck away our little beaks in pride
And I should know
‘Cause I’m one of them on this present night

The flock migrates to a grand hall
To a father of all to whom we recently gave alms
And now we admire our partner’s plumage of synthetic feathers
Adorn and smother, thanks to mother
