Saturn
Saturn's a boy who's a friend of mine
He's afraid to fall asleep at night
He's got a bad habit of smoking in bed
And he'll probably have it for life
He sleeps with a steak knife under his pillow
Scared he's gonna wind up dead
He shares his confinements with unwanted guests
That are living underneath his bed
There's a wicked man by the name of Jack
If you say it out loud, he'll sing it right back
He's seven feet tall with a great big smile
Full of broken glass and a voice so vile
He's got pale white skin and he sings his hymns
Saturn sang right back and his face grew dim
Saturn jumped right up as high as he could
He swung into Jack's jaw, got him once real good
Saturn don't turn back
Saturn don't look
Your fate's already written in this notebook
Saturn you're scared
And who wouldn't be?
There's a price to living
And it sure ain't cheap
Sally Sunshine's skin was as cold as ice
She had burning eyes and she smelled like spice
She had thin black hair, wore a Sunday dress
Wants to lay Saturn down for a final rest
She scratched at Saturn with long sharp nails
Leaving him red and stinging like hell
So, Saturn, he pushed her down a flight of stairs
Her lights went out, there was no more despair
But Lewis the scarecrow calls Saturn's name
Taunts him from the dark, has him playing his games
He's got small black eyes and a yellow grin
A real crooked face and he's reeking of gin
He's got real strong legs and he runs like a rocket
Carries razorblades inside of his pockets
He can outrun Saturn but he ain't too smart
Saturn drove his steak knife right through his heart
Saturn don't turn back
Saturn don't look
Your fate's already written in this notebook
Saturn you're scared
And who wouldn't be?
There's a price to living
And it sure ain't cheap
Saturn don't turn back
Saturn don't look
Your fate's already written in this notebook
Saturn you're scared
And who wouldn't be?
There's a price to living
And it sure ain't cheap
