Life After Thought

Hey!
Look at me, I'm a smart guy
I can conceptualize a theory of the sublime
But still I never find that inner peace of mind

Words make me feel like I'll be fine
(Fine!)
Until the seventh time, I'm repeating the same lines
But still I can't define what I even wanna find

Wouldn't I be better off if I didn't love my thoughts
And finally tried living?
I'll go down to the store to buy a skateboard
This could be what I'm missing...

Slam on the ground and I'm just fine

I do this all the time
I love it because I find
I'm more than just a mind
I have fun and I can smile

Mind-living has it's limits so I'm trying to come down
From the sky where I thought that my life was profound
Breaking bones wasn't sold as a vision but now
If I'm alive, might as well let my feet hit the ground

Making grand thoughts, made my stupid ego renown
Maybe I can exist with some spaces for doubt
My body loose, leaning in, trusting maybe somehow
I can ride away without it all figured out
