To Travel Through Space and Time in Search of the Unknown

Try and take a ride, from earth
To the edge of the known universe
To see if we can find the origins of ourselves

First break from gravity, past the moon
In Earth's own orbit
And Mars is silent and lifeless

-Or so they would lead us to believe-

Further out, and Jupiter
Is the King of the outer orbits
Saturn is resplendent, in ringed grace

Uranus and Neptune, both gas giants
Are at the edge of our solar system
But Pluto is a planet, with a moon called Charon?

-Far from the pull of the Sun-

We live in star city, Milky Way,
Where all of the night time stars that we see reside
A spiral galaxy, in deep space, 150,000 light years across

Andromeda, is the nearest spiral galaxy
2 million times the speed of light away
Helping to form the local group
With several clusters of smaller galaxies
Pre-determined, in the very first seconds of the Big Bang

50 billion trillion miles from home, at the edge of the known universe
Where the secrets may, be waiting for us to discover them
