Tomorrow Morning

Natasha Richardson

How will I feel tomorrow morning
Will my conscience come calling me
Will I feel the weight of time
And let it slowly change my mind
About the pain that hides itself away
Lost inside an empty feeling in my soul
And every pain that comes to get me feels so cold
And I can feel the bittersweetness
Of the same repeating pattern
Going on and on inside me
Doesn't stop colliding with me
And it comes right back to get me every time
I start to wonder am I going off the rails
Will this tragedy I'm feeling turn into a fairytale
It comes right over me
Like a storm cloud in the night
You can't see the rain in the distance
Or it shadowing your light
But when the morning comes and wakes me to the world
I can see a broken child inside a teenage girl
Hold on to the promise of tomorrow
You may cover up your demons
But it will take away your sorrows
And the sun will rise and shine
On you from the sky
And you can be assured that somehow you will grow your wings and fly
Lost inside an empty feeling in my soul
And every pain that comes to get me feels so cold
And I can feel the bittersweetness
Of the same repeating pattern
Going on and on inside me
Will it stop colliding with me
Or will it come right back to get me every time
