I Won't Give in
I WON’T GIVE IN
What a funny crowded place!
I’m just a fleeting passenger in space.
I’m already used to it – they say thou I won’t never fit in.
I don’t want to hide myself or put my life on dusty shelf.
If my voice is all there is, I’ll make a blizzard out of tears…
‘cause I just don’t give in, don’t give in
‘t may as well all go the way it’s been
And I am patiently suffering
While reality is rolling in…
I started off so long ago, flew so high, dropped down below
Though sweet dreams are always thin, daydreaming is not a sin…
The worst scum is considered the best so what happened to the rest?
We’re persistent as we were, does anybody really care?
But I just won’t give in, no, I won’t give in
Days nor years I won’t be counting in.
So I’ll be patiently suffering,
While reality is sliding in…
Someone surely might have found I’m so skilled in making sound.
No one’s special – you can bet – of all the people I’ve ever met.
Vulnerable as can be everyone is, you can see.
Universe in harmony it’s the wish that makes one free…
And that’s why I won’t give in – ever – won’t give in
I’ll stand the test of time so tough and firm!
While the others were moving out I’m moving in
So: whatever happens, count me in!
Once when the end is near then you will hear
Broken silence brings the primal fear.
No strength for one more holy scream or mighty shout.
As my life is slowly fading out…
