A million different shining lights
And that's only what my eyes can see
Flip through pages finding words
And knowing only the few I need
Traverse mountains that truly tower
But all I can do is count my steps
I see to the peaks on the other side
And everything in the valleys depths
Strange and wonderful
I can't see the curve of the earth
And I am in awe
Knowing that everything came first
Everything and nothing at all
The movement of the rock we stand on
Laid out by a careful hand
According to a grander vision
Even in the greater scheme of things
I am deeply known
Blending into the background
I am Never alone
Twisting out of the pattern
That my mind tends to settle into
None of the small things matter
But this never ending view
