THANK GOD

I was down on my luck and I couldn't find a penny
Tried to reach out to my friends but I couldn't find any
I was filled with despair, my hope and dreams all shattered
And then out of nowhere comes all the things that matter

Thank God for the blessings he has brought me
Thank him for the lessons he has thought me
Thank him for my children that inspired me so
So I watch them as they grow
Thank God for the woman in my life
And all the little things that make life bright
Give thanks for the knowledge and the wisdom
And the understanding
Finally I’ve shaken poverty
How I did is still a mystery
With all the obstacles I face
It was only God’s grace and my determination
