Angelus Mortem
Bestial hooves hauled carriages doomed to wither
From swamps born of the Autumn rains
Up mountain shoulders, through twisted trees
In the gathering darkness, till faded to wreaths of smoke
And spirited away from burning homes
Where beings on verge of death's embrace
Vestige engravings of terror and anguish
Buried within emaciated ghosts of former selves
To grounds freely uninhibited, but the crow
Only grew accustomed to burning hair and flesh
The panorama, desolate sea of dust and sand
Extended beyond edifice chimneys
Where scavengers ascend manifested daunt
Awaken, Angelus Mortem hums
Like Wagner's Symphonies melodies
Mock despair in full descent
And mosquitoes converge from nettle roots
Driven by scent of despair, plagued air
Swarm amongst disposable brutes
To bask in final gulps of blood until taken over by the flames
Aloft gardens of broken bones, the god like keeper advanced
Pallor of moon veiled light spread across the bloodless face
And bitter sardonic hums set off reverbs of aeons dead bells
Brushed against damnations wing, adorned with emerald scales
Amons crawl under the skins, left no restrain to burden dying eyes
Detached from feel and all that's real thy gaze reverts above
To look upon its face, as one more soul in smoke to rise
To grounds freely uninhibited, but the crow
Only grew accustomed to burning hair and flesh
The panorama, desolate sea of dust and sand
Extended beyond edifice chimneys
