Challenge

I do not know, I can not see
What God's plan for my life may be
Nor can my youthful eyes look through the haze
Which covers all my unknown future ways

But one thing I know or recall
God rules, He can see a sparrow form
And then He says, My child you must be strong
Just follow me, I'll keep you from a wrong

God gives me goals in life that I must strive for
Sends challenges for me to live and die for
Yet day by day and through it all I know
That in my humble way I'll surely grow

Though I'm not big like the eagle
That soars over distant cliffs so wide
Yet through the woods and meadows I can wander
And hear a murmuring brook go rippling by

I may not know fortune or fame
I may poor and all alone
But if I build strong and iron broad
I know I'm building for the eye of God
