Growing In

I threw out all my dresses and put my Bible in a box
Got rid of shallow people who like to tell me what I'm not
I even kissed an Emily and came out to my family
I learned to take it easy, let empathy surround me

Now I can talk politics with my grandpa and not take it to heart

I'm not afraid of a full meal, the mirror or my brain
