A Dream Ajar (Constant)
I don't know how you got in here
Wondrous world that's part of me
A room where I'm just one sightseer
Your smile must have been the key
Alone on top of the hill
You looked me straight in the eye
A kiss, time stood still
Then you ran away, no reason why
The eyelids spool back like a screen
And the sunlight slowly burn the film
Very thirsty for a change of scene
I can't believe it was just a dream
A mirage so sweet
But so bitter too
Mirror of water
In this desert view
The day carelessly resumes to flee
I try to keep my mind off reverie
But my eyes fall repeatedly
On that magnetic memory
We met in another world
I don't know how you got there
A kiss, time was furled
Then you disappeared into thin air
Trapped in a sensation strange and new but known
An inquietude to wear for a whole day
Why does this dream not leave me alone
And why, why, why do I feel this way
A mirage so sweet
But so bitter too
Mirror of water
In this desert view
Oh the sweetest kiss
But most bitter too
Puzzled I wander
In hope to find you
I know my call would be unanswered
So tonight I'll be combing the immense
Though my mind could end up shattered
'Cause in dream you have no defence
The dream is a wish your heart makes
To get through to you
You should do whatever it takes
To make it come true
The dream is a stab from your heart
In the dead of night
For all that the mind does not start
In broad daylight
