Monster

They want their way
So we stay astray
The creature inside
Dare poke its face
The people they want
they thrive off fear
They burn their towns
and blame my peers
(Why must they be this way?)
They betray the land under their feet
(Can't they have it any other way)
They worship the pain no shame in vain
(They breathe the fumes of their insolent recline)
They kill and steal the pain too real
They take the path of their ignorant lies
The monsters they breed they partake in the feast
The monster emerged
their presence clear
They come for glory
and to take our fear
How can we keep
It is not our focus
How can we let go
Of what we wanted?
When can we find the purpose in living?
When the monsters keep interfering
(Why must they be this way?)
They wallow in regrets of thousands of crimes
(Can't they have it any other way)
They sit in the pools of the blood of the martyrs
(They breathe the fumes of their insolent recline)
They watch as we fall among many the greats
They take the path of their ignorant lies
The monsters they breed they partake in the feast
The monsters they fight
Among their own kin
And rip at your shins
And add to your sins
They cull the dumb
Enrich the few
The many who fail
They end up like you
