Cause one too many distractions and projects don't get completed
I refuse to ever let my doubts get me down or defeated
I'm way too good to give up. I guess I must be conceited
The reason I'm still going is testament to my discipline
And boosted by the fact I've got real ones tuned in and listening
I know some people want me to fail, I hear them whispering
But I can take the critics and opinions that's the difference
Lot of women who want me to write about 'em
So I'll give them what they want cause it helps me to write the album
Wanna drop so many songs my discography hits a thousand

Spending more than I'm earning, living check to check
I stayed me no matter what that's why I get respect

All that being said these days I hear them talking less and less
Tryna get enough together so I'm set for life
But I can't deny I'm startna feel like I've been left behind
Even after all the hours spent I still need extra time
Therefore I suggest if you're in my way you should step aside
Doors open for me like their courteous
Rappers want a handout for a boost, that's why they turn to us
If there isn't money paid upfront it ain't concerning us
To me the love should always come before the need for pertinence
