I open the box
Inside was nothing, nothing except for God
He spoke to me
"Woman on a broomstick, who are you?"
I told Him nothing, and yet I told Him everything

Outside, the green grass grows
Outside made my grandma's ghost creep

I rot on my bed like a pumpkin in mid-November

Someone knocks on my door
"Stay away! Back away! I'm a servant of God!"
But slowly the doorknob turns, slowly the doorknob turns
And in walks the broomstick, then in walks the woman
"Stay away! Please! Just back away! I'm a servant of God!"
Still, they creep closer, they're at the foot of my bed
Staring down, staring down, staring down

Outside, the glass stars rise
Outside, my grandpa's ghost weeps
