They climbed on his back
And drained all his strength
They called them poltergeists
From where did they come?
From God or from man?
Or from some darker hand?
The sky was red and falling
He heard their fearful gnawing
Along his spine their claws entwined
Beware the poltergeists
He walked up walls
His guts crawled out
And wrapped around his throat
In town the folks were praying
Like wolves he heard them baying
His hopeless cries did nauseate
Those wicked poltergeists
They spat him out a pile of gore
And never were seen no more
