The Dragonfly
The dragonfly with a broken wing
Still tries to fly
A broken girl, but she can sing
Asked the angels why
So many things in this crazy world
Come to make her cry
And when it all hits the ground
Does she lay down and die
Where will she, where will she go
Does anybody know
We all need a light in the forest
When the monsters get into our heads
Believe in the light in the forest
When the demons hide under our beds
Follow the light in the forest
It will lead you to where you began
And trust in the light in the forest
You have to believe that you can
The planet burns, the engines turn
And the rivers are running dry
The oceans choke and the cities smoke
And still we wonder why
The angels warn that our time is short
Still we believe a lie
And when it all starts falling down
Tell me, is it too late to try
We all need a light in the forest
When the monsters get into our heads
Believe in the light in the forest
When the demons hide under our beds
Follow the light in the forest
It will lead you to where you began
And trust in the light in the forest
You have to believe that you can
Where will we, where will we go
Does anybody know
We all need a light in the forest
When the monsters get into our heads
Believe in the light in the forest
When the demons hide under our beds
Follow the light in the forest
It will lead us to where we began
And trust in the light in the forest
We have to believe that we can
The dragonfly with a broken wing
Still tries to fly
