Resin
Resin on my pages like ink splots
Projecting angry faces from my bad thoughts
Sorting out my needs from all of my wants
Seeking motivation that I lost
But you're cold
You're frozen like my fingers flicking a bic to spark a spliff on the ski lift
You told us in the moment we would fold or hold 'em
And a little bit of time was all you really needed
So that's what we did
And the earth has spun relentlessly since then
Ans times when we did not face the sun you know
We'd spin together
In breaks that split up as we released our embraces
And we go back to mourning
Sitting on a maybe then
And opening I miss you texts
Well you should just come over then
Spend another night I guess
We could hold
And roll up like our regret's getting a break to grab a breath for the next step
The morning sun would warm us cuddled up in forms that correspond to horizontal yoga
And damn those were so good
But oh
Times are not the same as they were then
On one hand I miss on the other I never want to see your face again
I think I love you
It just hurts me less
To keep those thoughts repressed
Still I keep smoking
Even though there's
Only resin left
Of you
