After all that I did for you
The course that I set you on
Making sure you had a solid home
Providing every tool possible to ensure your career was set in stone
Why the fuck do you wanna do this?
See I thought I did right from the start
Ensuring I was there for you every step of the way
Hoping that I'd influence your decisions
But here you are damn near 30 years later
Telling me you wanna do something totally different?

As much as I wanna say I support you every step of the way

As if you haven't done that before
See I was the one that paid for those trainers, meeting you after school to run drills
And if others peoples parents decided they ain't want their kids to be great

Now you calling me telling me about a fucking pipe dream

All I wanted to do was set you on a course to provide stability for your family
And you wait till now to start taking chances?
