I’m grateful for the company
You wrap yourself around me
A gift to be held so tightly
You marvel at my warmth

I always feel there is too much of me

Winter rolls above the burrow
And I am feeling cold but you smile
Say that all that's wrong is your hungry for more
Then the roots I procure
And you leave the hatch ajar
As you leave to feed
Less body, more thrill
The rush you get from the kill
And I realize soon
