Imagine my knuckles no blood, no cuts, no scars

Lots to take you to your knees, lots to stop you from achieving

But it's up to me to keep growing through concrete
Pushing - where the strength comes from is beyond me
So many crumbled barriers behind me
So many pieces of my heart cracked blindly

Even through the night, breathless through my plights
Someone switched off the street lamps, withdrew the lights

I learned to navigate in the shadows of the street
Quietly as I creep, inhaling the echoes through my ears - truly tasting the streets

I learned my place in this world
I learned my place in these streets
I learned to face everything...
Obstacles
And when in doubt, my beliefs

Imagine me ever bowing down, knees knelt on the ground
Imagine me having the strength
And choosing not to raise my hands, my hands glazed in blood, knuckles bruised
I'm bruised up
