How do you even sleep
When the cost of sleeping is seeing her
Out of the corner of your eye
How can you even agree
When you can’t even do that with yourself

But as the tides turn
I think i must cut off
Sever the voices
And as i start to live
I think i think too much
Thinking’s not enough

How can you even learn
When all the time you spend yearning
Dips into important things
How does your heart not burn
Well i guess it’s been sort of a long time
And it’s had time to cool off

How can you understand
When your brain is busy all the time
Racing and racing and racing again
How do you just not fade
And you’re sinking in this pit
And it just keeps getting lower and lower

But as the seconds tick
I cannot even close my eyes
Too much pain
And as i sit and write
I think about her so much that
I can’t even do it anymore

I forgot what i was trying to say
I seem to do that a lot

And where am i now?
I feel like nothing
