My soul waits silently for God alone;
From Him is my salvation
He alone is my salvation and my rock
He is my stronghold;
I shall not be shaken

How long will you set upon a man
That you may destroy him, all of you
Like a leaning wall
Like a tottering fence?
They conspire to topple him
Down from his exalted place;
They delight in lies
With their mouths they bless
But in their hearts they curse

My soul, wait silently for God alone;
For my hope will come from Him
He alone is my salvation and my rock
He is my stronghold;
I shall not be shaken

On God my salvation and my honor rest;
The rock of my strength
He is my refuge
Trust in Him at all times, O my friends;
Pour your heart out to the Lord
For God is our refuge

Lowborn men are emptiness
Highborn men are but a lie;
In the balance they go up;
Together they weigh less than a breath
Do not trust in oppression
And do not vainly hope in robbery;
If your riches increase
Do not set your heart upon them

One thing God has spoken;
Two things I have heard:
That You, O God, are strong;
And You, O Lord, are merciful
Surely You will reward each man
According to what he has done
