White Jesus
Why when you fear no death
Why does it continue to rain?
It’s been a valiant effort to forget
The shame of your everyday pain
I often feel the best part of myself
Is an ability to see my worst
And I often feel that if I know myself, through the weight of my life
It’s a curse
Well living was always the hardest part for you
Why when you fear no death
Why does it continue to rain?
It’s been a valiant effort to forget
The shame of your everyday pain
I’m feeling the dips and the woes we continue to collect
Small pieces of myself, I tear down as I built up
Got me feeling low, Rip away reality as it unfolds
So WHY do I keep on running when I do not fear my worst
And why, as I watch the world shatter around me, do I beg for answers?
Why when you fear no death
Why does it continue to rain?
It’s been a valiant effort to forget
The shame of your everyday pain
