Long lonely days hidden away here in my room
The walls dark and grey, hiding the day deep in their gloom
Thinking of times like nursery rhymes far in my past
Cut from my prime a hideous crime, I don't want to last
When you're shut away thinking of your life, things get very clear
You open up your eyes and things you once despised now are very dear
When you have so much time to see what you have done, you see your own mistakes
You see where you went wrong, it hurts you all the time, each moment you're awake
