Try to keep faith but it won't change
People talking about the new bling
Old and rusty nobody wants me
Tarnish took my only chance of fame
Polished back to see the day again
When people start saying my name again
Might take some time to gain my place again
Climb to the canopy where greats lie in
Ugly duckling not a bird of pray spat on by all who gaze
An eyesore for people on the stage
Never gonna make it anyway
Wide awake filled with doubt
If only I knew how to fly somehow
Will people cheer from the crowd
Lock away my fears and seek of higher ground
Slowly fading from my places
The wine is staining need a replacement
Smudged and dusty nobody loves me
Specks of shame decorate me face
Cinders fall with every step I make
Superstars distract my fall from grace
Fake a smile to feed my pride again
Sit on the throne where royals dine in
